A Scientific Scripture  (One of many)

Isaiah 42:9 states, "I (God) will turn rivers into islands and dry up the pools."
This is God talking about how He operates through His shifting, lifting, dropping and settling of the tectonic plates beneath the surface of the earth's crust.
This is part of God sustaining enough land mass above the oceans and rivers and seas to keep things on earth in balance and space available for the current and growing human population- the ongoing preparations for his command to be fruitful and multiply to be carried out on the planet.
Science and scripture meet here in this bit of the word of God which speaks of His great, great power.
This also speaks of his work and involvement in our every day lives and their circumstances.
